Just Hanging Out....

The top left pic just cracks me up. Jimmy's chillin' with his Bear and some fish crackers, watching a movie from his tent. Top right pic is Jimmy playing with his 180 piece flash card/puzzle that Nick and Bianca sent....all 180 pieces were out.... why not. A boy needs a little challenge....and really....I have nothing else to clean up. Bottom middle pic - just having fun with Dad.

Busy Week

We had a very busy (and creative) week this week! Finger painting (of which Jimmy refuses to use his fingers), making a friend board, playing with new soccer ball, playing on Dad's ITouch (intense), and playing with Moses - the latest addition to the Ayer family.

We had the Ayers over for dinner on the night a friend from Jimmy's office happened to stop by with very fresh king crab (caught and steamed within hours). Notice Ella's face. While she wouldn't eat it, she was all about taking it apart. It was delicious! Jimmy decided he needed to practice blowing out candles one night - which of course required a cake...so he had his first baking experience (although his face says - seriously mom, you act like this is the first time I've baked a cake). It's been especially cold outside so he enjoyed playing in dry rice and beans (who wouldn't?). And as always, a laundry basket is really all a kid needs to have a blast.

Package for Nick, Bianca and Bella!

We finally got the package from Nick, Bianca and Bella. Needless to say - Jimmy LOVED the contents (and so did Mom!). In the top middle pic he's giving his signature "wwwwoooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!!!" after a song has played.

Proper Motivation

All I had to do was mention Maija's name this morning and it sent Jimmy running to the door.....and for the first time ever he put on his own shoes. He was ready to see his Maija - no matter he had on PJs and no socks. And for the next hour he kept saying "go see Maija" over and over and over. We did get to see her - if only for a moment. It's not hard to see why he's so smitten!

Starting off the New Year......

Jimmy's been busy in 2009......working on art projects.....reading books in bed.....hanging out in laundry baskets.......and his new all time favorite, doing anything that allows him to play on the step stool. He would prefer anything that allows him to dive off of it but we try to discourage that.
